on the passenger side near the motor mount comming out of the frame the factory fuel line and return line kinda poke out. the smaller of the two is the return line. they run back along the inside of the frame to the tank.

FWIW, I used the 5/15" "Vent" line on the driver's side for my return, since it is a little bigger. My vehicle did not have the 1/4" return line. I ran fuel hose to the rear to replace the vent, since it only has "fumes" anyway.

Many people feed the return line into the vapor return port on the fuel sending unit. If you do, take the sender out and remove the baffle that is spot welded on the inside of the sender that covers the end of the return line. That baffle restricts the flow too much and if you don't remove the baffle, the Projection can go over rich from too much fuel pressure at idle.

I am in the planing stages of putting a TPI and 700 r4 on my 70 elk with aZZ4 and I have aquired a mallory pump and fuel filter, 60 psi max, any way my cruck has the 3/8 fuel ine with 5/16 vent line from the pump to the tank. I understand that AN fittings are the safe way to go?? Not the easiest to understand the terms and fittings??? I have seen fittings called sharkbite connectors for plumbing , 200 psi 300 degr temps and wonderd if any one has tried them with fuel line connections?? works on pex ,copper pvc etc, Seems like a possble?? If not what AN fittings and hose would I need to hook up my systen to take 55 psi for my TPII have 10 ft of Summit blue fuel hose ,,says it takes barb fittings, don't find that in AN:dontknow: lots variables such as flare angles etc. Having brain lock at this point!!! HELP!!:smileyb: Plus I need to find the fitting hook to the TPI in the front should I stick to fflex line and barbs , hose clamps over the steel lines and factory type stuff for the rest
