: Swap Meet Added to Belton
kenrogers1 03-01-2011, 10:42 AM I'm happy to announce that the planners for the 1st Annual Texas Invitational have added a "Swap Meet" component to the event. So, any of you with spare cruck parts - load 'em up and bring 'em with you to Belton. Just another feature brought to you by the Texas, Region 13 leadership.
Anyone needing specific parts brought to the swap event can post their needs on this Thread, but only in reference to Belton. Likewise, members'with surplus parts for swap in Belton may post those items here. The person in need or with swap bait MUST be a participant in the 1st Annual Texas Invitational. Non-participants' swap postings will be summarily removed. THANKS in advance for your cooperation in making this event a success..................Ken  :texas:
jarhead 03-01-2011, 11:43 AM You guys are on the ball. I was hoping there would be someone there with stuff. I would really like some cargo hooks for the inside of the bed. Also, some coat hooks for the inside of the cab. I like to keep my highly starched trousers and shirts with a razor edge. Just need some way to hang em up.:texas:
texaselky 03-01-2011, 12:35 PM Wow! all we need now is a beer booth!:dontknow::beer:
OLD GEEZER RICHARD 03-01-2011, 12:52 PM Hey Ken , did you say there is NO alcohol allowed in the park ? if not then Belton must be in a dry county maybe :dontknow: ... just wondering :secret: Thanks the Geezer
kenrogers1 03-01-2011, 02:36 PM We have the entire park rented. However, we will be sharing space with those members of the pubic who come to see the cruck show. The "no-alcohol" rule is enforced by the police primarily when a complaint is received or someone gets out of line. That is the basic message I got from the Belton officials. They cannot officially OK a little beer drinking - only explain what the unofficial policy is. There will be a "members only" area roped off where we are not sharing space with the viewing public...............Ken
Terminator 03-01-2011, 03:11 PM Can I swap MPGs with a Chevy Volt or can I swap Alcohol for Liquer?

Harald K 03-01-2011, 05:50 PM Sure glad you mentioned the swap meet early enough to give me time to clean out the shed and sort through stuff.
I do think it would be a good idea if you post what your looking for so those that have items can get a hint of what you might want or need.
I hate hauling stuff back home the wife does not want to see it come back. All though last year did not bring back much “free” always seem to sell well. Harald K :texas:

rushgator 03-02-2011, 09:14 AM Good idea to keep this from turning into a free for all for anyone and everyone. So, since I'm coming, I'll get the ball rolling.
Here's what I need for my '86 Elky:
-passenger side quarter window trim (part between the passenger door window and the quarter window)
-SBC headers
-front end rebuild kit
Here's what I have to sell/trade:
5th gen bed tie down rails (2 sets)
5th gen rally wheel center caps-2
5th gen stock hood
4th gen tailgate in primer
4th gen rear window
4th gen stainless trim for 2 tone paint scheme
chicknnhead 03-02-2011, 09:20 AM my brother lives down in dallas..i'll mention it to him....he's not a member on here..yet...
Harald K 03-02-2011, 09:26 AM Thanks Rush, great start. Guess I need to get out there and start looking, I may have a pair of quarter window trim moldings. You are correct Ken this needs to be restricted to partisapants only. No free for all. Harald K :texas:
Zerberfert 03-02-2011, 11:37 AM Gator,
How much you want for the 2 Rally wheel center caps?
texaselky 03-02-2011, 12:58 PM I have a pair of used Dynomax long tube headers. These slip right in and clear everything except the factory starter, so a mini starter would be required. Only scraped a speed bump once.
Front winshield trim for a malibu wagon or 4 door.
Stock spindles for an 82-87 el
78 Corvette rear bumper cover
rushgator 03-02-2011, 04:04 PM Gator,
How much you want for the 2 Rally wheel center caps?
The red emblems are a bit faded, but they are oem. I'll bring them and you can decide if you want them or not. I'm thinking $20, but that's highly negotiable!

texaselky, bring 'em if you don't mind. I already have installed a hi-tq mini starter 'cause headers were on the menu all along. Do you have the collectors, too?

kenrogers1 03-02-2011, 06:47 PM I have a burgundy plush carpet that is cut, with binding, to fit the bed of a 3rd generation cruck. I used it one time, and it is very attractive. I'll bring it if someone has an interest.............Ken  :texas:

mykalleems 03-02-2011, 07:25 PM The swap meet is a really good idea. I should have some extra elky parts in my garage. Of course my wife thinks I should sell everything in there. tsunamigregg 03-02-2011, 07:49 PM Did I mention an extra 350ci and a 350 transmission?

kenrogers1 04-18-2011, 08:48 AM Does he have an El Camino or Sprint? If so, why is it that you have not recruited him into the fold of the NECOA? Just kidding! However, he would be very welcome, as a member, or just as a spectator. Please make it a point to him that sign-up is very simple - and that when you sign on to elcaminocentral.com and join the Forum, membership in the NECOA is automatic. After he signs up, have him let me know he's going and I'll add him to the list..................Ken

Hi Rushgator,

I might be interested in the bed tie down rails. Could you please bring them to the Belton meet so I can look at them?

earleygirl 04-25-2011, 09:44 AM Here's what I got:

Hi Gregg,
You have an original, real metal radiator for a 305? How many cores/coils does it have?
earleygirl 04-25-2011, 09:54 AM If anyone has a receiver hitch for a 5th gen can you bring it to Belton? I don't trust the bumper mount hitch.
I might have one for you. Hubby thinks I should take the one off of my car. I have the receiver and the trailer hitch.
I'll get back to you~
rushgator 04-25-2011, 02:13 PM Hi Rushgator,

TexasElCamino 04-25-2011, 07:31 PM Hey Larry. I've tried to PM you, but can't. Thanks for checking and getting back to me on those parts I'm looking for. Mainly I need/want the radiator reservoir, and the window rubber-I have no idea of what it's called-the rubber that surrounds the glass on each door. Also, do you have a price for the items you do have? Thanks again!!!
Terry :texas:
shiner2001 04-26-2011, 12:33 AM I could really use both doors and a rear bumper for a 64...

earleygirl 04-27-2011, 07:35 AM If anyone has a receiver hitch for a 5th gen can you bring it to Belton? I don't trust the bumper mount hitch.
Well, I guess I don't have a receiver and hitch for you. Hubby wants to leave it on the car.
Why - I do not know. I will not be hauling anything with my Elky.
OLD GEEZER RICHARD 04-29-2011, 01:54 PM Hey Texas El Camino , I have a spare Radiator over flow tanks , Bed Tie Down Rails , a Q-jet ( needs rebuild ) , a pair of 1 year old air shocks complete , a spare tail gate off of a 78 Elkie and four 14 inch hub caps .... Zerberfert 05-12-2011, 07:27 PM I almost forgot. Does anyone have an extra tail gate molding(the top chrome piece) for a 5th gen? Doesn't have to be perfect, just better than mine.
TexasElCamino 05-12-2011, 08:09 PM I'm sorry I didn't see this post until just now! I'm interested in the radiator overflow reservoir tank if you still have it. How much you asking for it, and does it have the cap? Thanks Terry :texas:
1980SteelBeast 05-12-2011, 08:27 PM I have a new B&M 2400 stall torque converter for sale. 150 obo. Its for a 350 tranny no lockup
zerogs24 05-12-2011, 08:39 PM Awesome. :nanawrench: I was hoping some one would have parts for sale.
I am in need of sun visors with the hinges. Tailgate cables. One of mine snapped when I had to haul my motorcycle. And a ashtray. Have the bracket but no astray came with the car.
I have some Centerline wheels I would like to swap out.... I want to say they're 15" wheels. The front is 4" wide and rear is 8" wide. New tires on front with less than 1K mikes on them and about 5K miles on the rear Fuzion tires. Don't like the drag/hot rod look so if anyone who may be interested in swapping out for some other decent wheels I will be up for possible barter. Its a 4.4 267 and sick of all the other guys with hot rods trying to race me. :poke: I just wave them on and smile.
tsunamigregg 05-12-2011, 09:17 PM All these are '79 parts that I'm bringing:
L & R door (complete manual doors)
Hood
Hard top tonneau cover
Bedmat (Woody has dibs)
Front grill and fascia
daily driver bumpers
Monte SS 15" rims w/meat on 'em
14" Stock Elky rims with crap tires and no center caps
Some grey interior parts
Blue full bench in need of some TLC
Bumper mount hitch (minus the ball)
82 and later headlights (all four)
Partial wiring harness from '79
Rear window (has tint on it, but it will peel off
A cowl induction aircleaner (new in the box)
Assorted trim pieces
Probably some other stuff I can't think of right now.
Not coming is the spare 350ci engine in case the 305 blows while pulling the rest of this stuff in the trailer
fnsteffen 02-15-2012, 06:33 AM I have a mess of 3rd Gen parts of my '71, but I'm seeing that that's not a very popular body in this thread. Would anyone be in the market for parts?
I have front and rear bumpers, a grille, wheel well moldings, and several other miscellaneous items.
Also, centex396, I have an SS hood with the non-functional cowl. It's been stripped and primed, and it just needs some bondo work before it'll be ready for paint. I was planning on painting a Texas flag on it and hanging it in my garage/man space, but I could be convinced to sell it if you need it.
Let me know if anyone's interested. I'll be driving a lot that weekend, and I'd hate to haul around all that stuff just to haul it back home.
Thanks!
-Steffen
chevcamino 02-17-2012, 08:27 AM Myself, anyone have an instrument cluster with oil press, volt, temp and rpm gauges, would gladly take it off your hands. Thanks.
