No freakin way!!! I'll definitely tune in. Gotta see if the VCR is up to taping. I haven't used that thing in ages. I was mad that I missed this weeks Chevelle overhaul, but TLC will run it again in a few weeks anyway.

Here's the info on the show from TLC:

Surfer Kid
Premieres Tue, May 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT

Mylan Hayes loves to surf. He tries to get out on his board every day, cruising to the beach in his rusty old '77 El Camino. Coming back from the beach after a day of surfing, Mylan has a "dude, where's my car?" moment when he can't find his car in the parking lot where he left it. Mylan's folks, Vicki and Tim, working as our insiders, clued us in to where Mylan parked the car and now our Overhaulin' A Team has it. They don't have much time to turn it into the coolest of surf wagons, but they're going to give it their best.

We send Mylan on a wild goose chase trying to find his car, taking him to our fake impound lot where he's turned away because the car is in his dad's name. While Mylan keeps searching, our team keeps building. We've even got surfer Tyler Hatzikian in the shop to create some custom boards to ride in the back of the El Camino.

As Mylan stops in at yet another impound lot in search of his car, he finally gets lucky. This time he'll find out the truth about his new, amazing ride. Will it be the surfin' mobile that he's always wanted?

Vindication! Finally! Someone has finally realized that elcamino's were actually made after 1972 and before 1978!

I can't wait! I wan't to see how PO'ed Foose gets trying to run down body parts for it.

I just hope he doesn't make it all disco.

We should find out who that guy is and get him in here!

Lucky guy too.

:D

Chip will probably just fab the parts himself!

whenever I get an elky I'll have to hint for the wife to nominate me for this show :)

I've already dropped the hint a few times to the Mrs. about what a nice present that would be. The bad thing about them doing a 77 Elky on the show is that it drastically decreases the chance that any of us with a 4th gen will get on the show, since they will not want to do the same model of vehicle twice in the series. :-(

I've enjoyed this show so far, and I'm definitely going to TIVO this episode. I could do without the parts where they put the screws to the owners, but the transformations so far have been amazing.

I mentioned it to my wife but she said I'm so particular about my cars that I'd find something to whine about, color not right, decals wrong placement, engine choice etc. etc. etc.

I promised I'd be good but she'll never call..... :(

You should hear me scream whenever I watch "Pimp My Ride" I HATE what they do to those cars!

Who saw it?

Actually got the wife to see it and she thought it was a cruel thing.

After a while she understood what it's all about and that the show is a quality show that turns out a quality product. Now if she did a surprise "Pimp My Ride" I think I'd be angry.....

I now can understand what you guys are saying about the 4th gen square headlights. I liked the whole end product. Looked cool, now we need to go get that kid to be a Forum Member.....

I missed the show. Got to involved with "24" 8-) . But it is on a few more nights and will tape/watch it then.

I think the 3rd gen's are a great body style. If I could have a second Elky, it would be a dual stack headlight 3rd gen!
Now, if I could just have to figure out where I could hide a second El Camino.......

I caught the show last night...lucky little 17 year old SOB. How many of you had a $50K plus car at 17? Hope he doesn't wrap it around a tree. 8O
