I drove my 68 to the F--d dealer and traded the (recall) Toyota sight unseen in on a new 2011 V6 Mustang. 305 Hp, 105 in the quarter and I'll vouch for that cause I've already done it!!!

My best friend here just got him the Mustang 2011 GT Calif. Special with I think 413 horsepower. He had a black 2005 Mustang Convt. and they gave him 16,200 for his car which was a surprise so bought it without telling or asking his wife. OPPS, but no he still has it. I don't like it since its white but in South Boston we get what you can get when the getting is good or something like that. I might get one more new car but for tax reasons, etc it would be much better to buy a older car.

That was me----just inherited a 64 Ranchero originally equipped with the
HIGH PERFORMANCE (271hp) 289 & 4spd.
My uncle left it to me and it was his everyday car from 64-98---now has a 302 in it.

You made a good choice DDD, I've driven both the Camaro and the Mustang at the auction I work at and i perfer the Mustang myself. It's just built better and laid out better. Having said that I'm kind of leary of Fords HP ratings. I've also drivin the new Ford Taurus SHO. Its supposed to be rated at 365 HP. That's what the '71 LS-5 454 I have in my Elky was rated at. My Elky seems a lot faster:???:

I saw a new Mustang Saleen on Friday driving home from work. That car looked and sounded awesome. The car even had a factory shaker scoop like the 70 Mach I or 302 BOSS. I bet that model is major major BUCKS!bowtie smile Oh, I almost forgot. Nice car Triple D!:smileyb:
