I have a 1985 El Camino and need to know what other model doors will fit. ie:Malibu, Monte, Regal, etc. Any help is apreciated.

2 door malibu doors will fit, not sure about any other models.

I believe that besides the 2dr Malibu doors, the only other doors that will fit are 78-81 Lemans doors (visually check this first if you find a Lemans). All 78-87 GM A/G body doors will bolt on, but the body contour lines are different and do not match up with the Elkys. Of course only Elky door glass can be used regardless. There are also two different outside mirrors used on Elky doors, I believe the mirrors up to 84 are the same, after that (85) they used Monte Carlo style mirrors, which differ in mounting location as well as appearance. And oh by the way Goodmark is currently scheduled to start production of inner door shells and door skins at the end of 2004, however the date has been getting pushed back for about a year now. Maybe if enough of us start inquiring about the shells and skins, they'll keep to the schedule this time. It's probably a supply and demand thing.

so when i find a 2 door malibu will the guts of the doors (window mounts) be the same as a camino ir do you have to swap that stuff to? my drivers side track is busted up it still goes up and down but it slides around wont stay shut and you can push the glass into the door without the crank haha anyone else had to deal with this? i really want power windows besides the wiring is there any other isues to be dealt with (door swap with power in already)? my doors are really messing with me................

That would be sweet buying new repo door shells, all the stuff in the yards up here is rusted, anybody know of repo tailgate skins for a 5th gen?, haven't seen them at the usual sites.

My Father gave my 17 yo son a 1985 El Camino. It runs good but needs some rust repair, door hinges, and doors. We are going to try and fix it up on a limited budget and are looking for a Malibu parts car.
This seems like a great resource for our project.
