What we also found out is that there are some ECC members that live in Western PA. that have not been heard from lately.

We hope to meet soon and also to go as a group to the StarLite Cruise in Wexford, PA on either May 27th and/or June 3rd (Chevy Night) - it's the BIGGEST & BEST cruise night in the area.

Thanks for the "bump".... still hoping this "call out" attracts a few more "EL C'ers in the Pittsburgh/Western PA. area.

To update you and the others that have been following the recent posts in the region #3 forum...... We have been talking to quite a few other hot rodders the past week or so about the StarLite Cruises on Friday night in Wexford. PA.

My "hot rodder wife" (Gina) & I must be some of the few car crazy people that have not attended a StarLite Cruise. It is not too far away from where we live but just far enough to have an "excuse" not to make it there on a somewhat regular basis.

NO DOUBT StarLite is the BIGGEST & BEST cruise in the area (Wexford, PA). The Friday night cruises on opening, closing & certain special theme nights has attendance which ranks up there with national events like Good Guys - NSRA - NHRA - IHRA, etc.

A friend of ours who is a "regular" at the StarLite Cruises told me that on "theme nights" the "featured cars" get to park in the in the "reserved" paved parking lot .... instead of in the "overflow parking"(grassy)areas.

I'm leaning towards trying to get EL Camino members to meet on the 2nd nite of StarLite Cruises - (June 3rd) which is CHEVY NIGHT.

Of course Opening Night(May 27th) is in a "crazy world" all by itself. With the LONG WINTER almost behind us car crazy people will be "especially crazy" on Opening Night. If the weather is good over 3000... yes 3000 cars could show up.

Considering CHEVY NIGHT is the following week it should be a BETTER VENUE for us to meet as a GROUP.

I am sure some EL C'ers may still want to be there for "Opening Night" but for those of us that have to drive farther CHEVY NIGHT seems the way to go.

In addition to meeting up with fellow ECC members being able to park in the "SHOWCASED" parking area will be better for us & for for "showing-off" our El Caminos.

I want to get as much "input" from everyone about going to Chevy Night instead of Opening Night before we announce/post this as "ECC EL CAMINO NIGHT at StarLight Cruise".

BTW.... looks like ""Pungsatawney Phil's" prediction on "Ground Hog Day" for only "six more weeks of Winter" is coming TRUE!!! Temps in the area will be in the 60's here.... FINALLY!!!!! :nanawrench:
