Need opinions on single vs. dual diaphram booster for '79 camino. Any body know if there is any certain g-body mastercyl./booster setup that seem to be better than others? Thanks,Bill

Single Diaphragm: tend to be larger than dual units....designed to work with 4 wheel drum or disc front and drum rear....produce around 950 psi
Dual Diaphragm: tend to be smaller than single units....designed to work with 4 wheel disc setups since they tend to require more pressure than drums.....will produce over 1000 psi...cost more than single units
Here is an example: an 11" single @ 18" vac may produce about 855 pounds of force.....a 9 1/2" dual unit @18" vac may produce 1230 pounds of force
Be careful on just grabbing up an unknown booster and measuring the outside of it since the inside portions that produce the force will be smaller (as in don't just grab up an 8"....it' probably 7" inside)

Thanks Craig, I keep learning something it seens every night. The engine bay will look sharp once it's all done. Got a e-mail from a guy from Tuff Stuff also and with the size of motor, etc he directed me to a 9" dual diaphragm booster combo. Summit would be a month and Jeg had it in stock so that will be added when all the other parts come in. :You_Rock: Michael
