Hi Woody. I have a 86 Elky and installed the KYB's on the front about 2 years ago. Made a huge difference in cornering. Bought them from Tire Rack and they were $86 according to my records.

I've been in a truck that had them and I also rode in it before my friend out them in and the ride was awesome with the kyb's. If you can afford them go for it, also know bilstein and edelbrock shocks are great too. Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure my 70 has the original air shocks in it lol

I put them on all 4 corners of a 98 Grand Cherokee I had! WOW!! was a new vehicle!! ( was a kyb promotion for repair shops, I qualified for a free set) Just put them on the front of my Maxima (dealer price was 97.99/ea), rears on soon. Will be putting 4 on the elkie this year too. You'll never have anything else if you try them!!

I have them on my 82 Elky and like them better than the Monroes it had on it before.
I bought mine from Summit for between $30-$35 each a few years ago. Try them for the best price.

Hello Elky 83.......This is GM speaking to you.
Here is a link to my good friend KYB.....he will tell you why
you should rip open your wallet and give him your tax refund:
http://www.kyb.com/products/shocks/gasajust.php
Or try these numbers for KYB Gas Adjust shocks: KG4513 on the front......and KG5548 on the back (eliminating your Air Shocks....so go buy some Air Bags.....and spend more tax refund money)\
Sincerely yours
GM

It's not a fair comparison but the GR2's are much less harsh on our light weight sports cars
Wondering about GR2's vs gas adjust for 5th gen Elko's.

Plus, I get mine from my local NAPA dealer where they know me. They have a lifetime guarantee, so just exchange them at NAPA if they ever DO have a problem!
