Nice looking El Camino and good price.The front end is not 1979 though,this has twin headlights and no slanting side lights. Bet it was smacked hard in the front end and rebuilt at sometime.

Maybe he just likes the quad headlights better and changed them. I like the quad lights better on all cars... 70 Elky vs 71 or 72, 4 th gen is a toss-up. I'm not a fan of stacked lights. I like my 69 Mach 1 better than the 70 Mach because of the head lights. Same for my 72 torino. To each his own. But, that is a sweet car for $4800. Are the swivel seats comfortable? I've not sat in any.

Looks like a great deal if it's just as nice in person. The first thing I'd do to it is lower it a bit.
