Every saturday night at around 7..( if weather permits), there is a car show in the Sam's Club Parking lot on I-10 and HWY 6. All kinds of cars show up there, and its getting bigger all the time. Only two el caminos have frequented the place, including me and my beast. Anyone interested in overwhleming the other cars with an EL Camino take over?

Are you located on that side of town? It is almost an hour drive for me there and on I-10 maybe 2 hours.. There are a couple cruise spots on the eastside friday and saturday nights.

Yes..i live off of 529 and fry road..so i live on this side of town...know of any other places us el camino people could invade :)

Well the places i go on Friday and Saturday nights would be as far for you as HWY 6 and I-10 are for me.

Oh i have been thinking about going over there one of these weekends not sure when it will be though. Some of the other guys from our cruise night were talking about us all going over there one Saturday.

I'd love for something like this to happen up in the Dallas area. I'm picking up a 74 SS Elky tomorrow.

Wouldnt we all..lol..i would love to get a whole bunch of people and go aon a road trip..just a WHOLE BUNCH OF EL CAMINOS....one day i suppose ill do it...

Heck yea i live in bryan and would drive to houston if everyone got togethere and we all cruised in our elkys!We should do it this summer sometime!

There is a "Rock Fest" in HEB area of D/FW next weekend. I've regestered the 76 in their "Classic Car Show" so if any of you are in the D/FW area and the weather permits it then come down. It was in the local papers last weekend.

I am up for an Elky cruise from the Houston area somewhere. Just let me know when.

Hey Guys, Im familiar with the Sam's Club. I think i liked it beter when it was at firestone because there werent all of the lowrider trucks and late model camaro's and stock T/A's. However, there is alot more room for alot more gear heads like us and our fun and expensive toys. Haha. Anyway, I live right up the street from there and if anyone would like to plan a group show up date then im in for sure. If you want, give me ur emails and i can try to coordinate so to speak. However im sure we should try to all be able to make it at the same time so that our friends that are making a road trip for this dont show up and there be none other Elky's there. Hey you guys posting in the Houston area...I live in livingston and have been going to a HUGE car gathering at the woodlands at garden ridge every saturday night 6-9pm. The meetign there i only saw 2 other minos, 1 was a 65 other was a 5th gen like mine.......alot of the cars there are just awesome rides but no elkies....let me know where the elkies meet at i will go there. Mine is far from a show car, but she is mechanically all there and it rolls by the cam thump helps clear and chest congestion you might have had.

this topic is kinda out dated but i wouldnt mind drivinbg somewhere to go on an elky cruise...i live in san antonio and i could probably drive to houston and go on a cruise with you guys but im not 100% sure my parents would let me but i might be able to take my dad with me

y'all could always come to Austin and invade the "Y" at oak hill. where 290 meets 71, there have been meets for a few years. VWs, motorcycles, a bunch of useless gear. i can't wait to show her off! COME INVADE AUSTIN PLEASE!
