I just got a 60 today. I don't have any experience with first gen el Caminos. The interior needs a lot of attention. Where is a good place to buy door panels and seat cover, carpet & etc. I want to get the interior addressed right away.....
Thanks

CARS INC
I would not even bother going anywhere else.
There are a couple of vendors out there that are absolutely great, and their price reflects it as well.
CARS did my interior for me a few years ago-----not cheap by any means, and the door panels are very pricey.
But-----I did get my door panels and headliner in 1957 Chevy colors as I was not too fond of the 59 trim colors

NOTHING is cheap. If your trying to "restore" the interior to 100% stock then you have NO choice but to "pay the piper". If not then doing a custom interior could actually cost less to do. Especially if you can do most of the work yourself.
How BAD is the interior???? If the panels are NOT falling apart it's amazing how a few cans of interior dye (spray cans) and some spray paint can make a interior look be so much better.
I am sure if we did a "poll" we would find that lots of other Elky have done the "spray can approach" ...... then when the money comes available and all the parts collected owners can do it "all out".....
BTW.... deteriorating door panels, trim pieces, etc can be SANDED down to remove "dried out" vinyl material and then painted with vinyl interior paint. It's surprising how something as simple as this can "perk up" the look of an interior.
