The Texas Invitational planners have decided to add a Food Court to the event for the convenience of our members. Any item of food that you may desire will be available - as long as it's brats, buns, and the condiments generally expected to be available for brats & buns. That will be mustard, ketchup, sweet relish, and sauerkraut. Donations of $.50 per brat will be enthusiastically accepted - buns and condiments included. We will attempt to limit the food service to our members by cordoning off an area reserved for our use only.

This service is being added because of the event time span, and our desire that members have the full time for experiencing the show & meet without leaving to find sustenance. The brats will be served between 11:30 and 1 pm, or until the supply has been exhausted. Remember to help keep the park clean, even if it means picking up after another adult whose upbringing was less than environmentally friendly.

All members will be responsible for their own water and cold drinks. Please remember that friends do not let friends drive after consuming an over supply of alcohol. Please limit you intake accordingly, and remember that open drinking in the public display area of the park may result in police enforcement. Any damage to an El Camino resulting from an over indulgence of spirits will be considered a capitol offense, and no appeal of the sleeping potion cocktail will be afforded. PERIOD! Remember that our association will be judged by the action of the most irresponsible members, so let's all behave like our mothers are watching.

Any suggestions on making the Belton event better will be welcomed. Welcomed, but not necessarily acted upon. We cannot incorporate every good idea.

We plan to have games for the children, and can use a few volunteers to assist. Please PM me if you or your spouse can provide a helping hand.

I'll try to give a more complete picture of the event highlights as plans progress. The donations are coming in really slow - none since last week. All members submitting their $10.00 or more donation will be considered pre-registered, and will not have to stand in line for hours at the registration desk. You can literally save a day's time by sending in your donation ahead of the event.................Ken  :texas:

Thanks, Geez. I'll take you up on the offer! I'll have someone start the charcoal around 10:50. I still need at least one more "cook" for the food court................Ken  :texas:

Thanks very much, texaselcamino, for the cash infusion. The expenses are mounting daily, and I have a "Trophy" bill coming due pretty shortly. On the other hand, the trophies are going to be beautiful...............Ken  :texas:

The Belton Food Court, where you could pick and choose from a vast array of tasty tidbits, mouth-watering morsels, and delicious delicacies (as long as they were smoked sausages & buns) was a roaring success. We sold approximately 160 buns & brats at $0.50 apiece, for a total of approximately $170.00! Somehow the math doesn't work, but the generosity of the Texas members sure did shine through the fog of the blurry math! Thanks all, and I promise that any excess will carry over for a bigger and better 2nd edition of the Belton event!.................Ken " :You_Rock:, :texas: "
