I just saw on the news today that there is a major wild fire southwest of Fort Worth. How close is this to Belton? Or could it possibly get too close to have to call it off? That would suck, looking forward to it so much.

Not to worry while the wild fires are a serious situation in the north western part of the state, and are of grave concern within our great state they are hundreds of miles from the area around Belton and central Texas. That's not to say we like much of the rest of the state down wind from the fires are not getting the smell and maybe even some ash from the upper atmosphere.
Bottom line if the fires were to get this far from where they are currently we would have much more serious problems. By the way Ft Hood right near Belton has a few thousand troops and all of them know how to stomp out a fire or two.
You all just save those aluminum cans for gas money and come on down Harald K :texas:

To all of you gentlemen and the few ladies that showed up last year, I must apologize for not being able to make it this year.
I just hate it when work gets in the way, but I will be needed in Arizona that weekend
for important work related crap.

But----I will try to convince my neighbor to drive the 59 up if he is able, so that I can at least be represented.

Was looking forward to being a part of this Belton thing since Ken & associates got it started.

I did have a good time last year meeting some of you.

I'm sorry that it's looking like you won't be able to make it personally, Bryan. However, I'll keep a space reserved for your proxy. At least that beautiful '59 will grace the park ground!..................Ken  :texas:
