Hey We will be painting by 1982 Elcamino Conquista soon and I wanted some opinions what to paint it. Im thinking Blue with 2 Nice white raceing Stripes Right down the middle. But i dont know. Its just to me The body is a box shape and the front it a complete square. Which doesnt have much of a sporty look to it. I saw a picture of a 67 SS with the paint how i want it but The 67 Has a very rounded sporty look. Plus mines not SS its a conquista. ANY WAY if some one has a link of different Elcamino's in the 80's Pls Put it down. i will have a cowl hood also FYI

Hey there.WOW !I'M doing the same thing .I have an '82 Conquista my self . I wa thinking of doing the dark blue with two white stripes . I think the black looks too much like a funeral car .Which mine isn't . I would like it to look more sporty ,so I think I'm gonna stick with my plan . Right now it kind of looks like the car above with the blue and white ,white roof and white on the bottom down the sides .Dark blue hood and down the sides ,between the white .It looks nice ,but like I said ,I would prefer a sportier look .I would post a picture if I could figure out how to do that.Anyway, good luck to you.

I think that it should be all one color what ever color you paint it. I am not a fan of two tone.

I have a 2 tone, silver/smoke gray just like in that pic. It really looks sporty in real life (I have it for sale btw). Had I repainted it, I would have had a hard time choosing tuxedo black (looks really great if you don't have a topper) or repaint in the 2 tone.
