i reclently but a new radio in my 85 elky the radio works fine but the speakers do not.Any ideas?i checked the wiring over and over but i think its correct.

We need more info then radio works fine but speakers don't, what do you mean by speakers don't? do they crakle, are they original, did they work fine before you installed the radio, did you hook up the wires acording to the instructions?

Give us more to go on.

yes stock speakers the radio works but not any sound out of the speakers

But did the speakers have sound coming out of them before installing the new stereo? Is your stereo brand new or is it used? Have you tried hooking different speakers up to the stereo to see if sound comes out? have you hooked your speakers up to a different stereo to see if its just the stereo??

Good advice from Dailey. If nothing works, maybe you blew a fuse? Did the old radio and speakers work before you started? Did you reconnect the antenna? If so I would first try putting the old radio back in and see what happens. If you have sound there might be a problem with the new stereo.

Check and Recheck those connections.

There are alot of them. and small spaces.
Can be a pain to get to.

I'm thinking either bad connections, fuse, or stereo malfunction.
Might wanna make sure everything in right place.

What kinda new radio did you get?
