: Bench Seat - Quick Question

My cowl tag indicates that my money pit originally included a "Medium Metallic Aqua Imitation Leather Bench" seat. The bench seat installed has been reupholstered and it is in decent shape. I still believe it is on the original frame. I've searched the internet for quite some time and can't find any pictures of a 64 bench seat that was not "split" at top.

The question(s): Was an original bench seat produced this year that didn't fold, was not split (on the back) and still accommodated the 4 speed manual transmission (as indicated by the cowl tag as well)?

I'm looking to reupholster the seat but everything I find for this year model has a split back.

Thanks for your help.

Hmm, I may have just found something. This is an image of a 68 Chevelle front bench (with 3 passenger seating, note the seat belts). This looks very similar to what I've ripped out of mine. Was this bench an option in the 64 Chevelle/El Camino? Or... has this been replaced?

Thanks again.

Well I've just answered part of my own question. It would appear that this has been replaced. 750 is split. 739 Medium Blue Starette Cloth, Medium Metallic Blue Imitation Leather is not split. I guess I'm going to have someone do a custom upholstry job on this.

Funny thing you said that guy yesterday had one laying out on his back patio, He had taken it out of his 1970 El Camino I assume.
