The Directors of the National El Camino Owners Association are happy to announce that approved NECOA T-shirts and other swag is now available for purchase in our "store" on Zazzle.

This initial offering includes a generic national shirt design with your choice of either the slogan "interesting people drive interesting cars" or a sharp-looking 5th gen Elky on the reverse side. For both Region 6 Florida and Region 13 Texas, those same two versions are available, but those shirts will also include the approved regional logo over the breast area. In anticipation of the 1st Annual Texas Invitational at Belton, there is a commemorative T-shirt designed by our friend Terminator, which we are sure you will like.

Also available is a poster for that Invitational event, as well as an NECOA coffee mug and an NECOA mouse pad. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding addtional versions of these T-shirts with each of the five generations depicted on the reverse side. The Region 18 California series of shirts will be available as soon as we receive the final logo artwork from the Regional Director.

Special thanks go out to Ken Rogers for coordinating the many details involved in this complicated process and to Terminator (Larry Maranto of Texas), Mister67 (Steve Thumma) and Gilby for their help with the graphics. A small percentage of the price of these items will be paid to NECOA to help us with our future growth. We hope every member will purchase at least one of these items and perhaps buy an additional gift item for your significant other.

Thanks to the design wizardry of the toxic Texas, the Terminator, we now have an Official Belton special event shirt. The Terminator has worked extra hours this week toward getting this and other designs ready for ordering before we all gather at Belton next weekend. I believe that he has went over and above, working through some personal discomfort, and we all owe him a debt of gratitude.

To accentuate the first Officially sanctioned NECOA T-shirt in at least 7 or 8 years, we selected one of the most beautiful custom Elkies in our Gallery archives. We hope you approve of this selection, and of the other designs offered in the roll-out of our NECOA2011 store. Will polos be coming too?

I would like to say yes, that we would offer them up tomorrow - but I can't. I really cannot speculate when polos will be ready. I have to find another vendor first, because ZAZZLE is really expensive with their polos, the minimum polo starting around $35.00 -and that's before I add any embroidery to it! However, polos are my choice also, so I'll be searching very hard for an acceptable store. There just doesn't seem to be a store available that will deal with each of our needs as an Association..............Ken

New designs include a 5-Elky "Collage" shirt, with one of the 5 Elky generations emphasized and the four other generations in a supporting role. There will be several of these issued, in an attempt to give exposure to as many of our members' Elkies as possible. Their is also an awesome image of a blue '70 SS smoking her tires in the burnout photo of the year. One of my all-time favorites, this image is available on a wide range of merchandise.

Just recieved 3 t-shirts I ordered and I'm pretty happy. At 6-3 at a stout 280 they even had my size at 4xl. Good quality hanes and great graphics. Just wish I could have the NECOA logo on the back.

Sorry guys not to confuse you all about my previous post. All NECOA shirts from Zazzle has the logo on the back. Zazzle has lots of cool El camino apparel and I would love to have the option of having the NECOA logo put on the back. Rodger

Fellow NECOA members. As you do your Christmas shopping, I ask that you look through what is now available at our Association's Store at http://www.zazzle.com/necoa2011* . Please help the Association move forward by purchasing some gifts for your loved ones, a friend, or yourself. We do not make a lot on one shirt, or one calendar, but each dollar helps to move us forward to a time that the NECOA can have a "presence" at many of the larger shows around the Country. Having a "presence" does not just involve having some of our cars present. No - having a presence means having banners and signs to compete with the other clubs. It means having an NECOA sponsored award. It means no one having to ask what a NECOA is, or for that matter - what an El Camino is. We want folks to know that the NECOA will be there, for them to request that we be there, and to look forward to the elkies being there. It takes some doing to have a "presence", and it takes some money to get started and to continue building presence. Please help the Association as you are able to.
