: Since I'm on the forum...
82 Elco 05-08-2011, 04:43 PM You guys remember the new project addition I made reference to some time ago?
Well it finally shipped from Southern Cal and arrived about a week ago. It's getting fully checked out and will soon be getting shipped to the northern Seattle area.
Here is the latest addition. Music is in, wheels were ordered, received, and installed,
Feners extended to clear for the lowered stance, HIDs in etc..
I could have hooked my Elco over a few times over or purchased a couple of Elcos with what I dropped into this. LOL....

Shipping it out to the Pacific Northwest. Will be my daily driver. If you have to ask about gas mileage, it's probably best not to own one. LOL... It actually drives pretty good. Figured I'd change things up a bit. The rest of my vehicles will stay back home.
fixitman1 05-09-2011, 03:09 AM Hard to drive more Than 1 At a time Looks like you have a Few rides Post some Pictures !:texas:
Lenny Carey 05-09-2011, 05:39 AM 82 , Nice to see your new ride has arrived and you have done a few upgrades that you like . I won`t even ask what the wheels cost . What have you done stereo wise ? I remember when I visited you and you graciously had your friend from Cali ; Mr. Henry , install my stereo for me in my 87 . Got to ride in , I believe the Suburban and what a sweet sound system ! It was better than any sound system I ever had in my house . I noticed that in the first photo of it sitting up on the carrier /transport it is sitting right under a restaurant sign that says " Yummy Teriyaki " . Is that the new name for your truck ? LOL
82 Elco 05-12-2011, 05:21 PM LOL.. Yummy Teriyaki. Umm. NO. LOL.
Yean, I could've picked up an Elco or two with what I paid for wheels and tires. The wheels are 22" machined out of one solid block of Aluminum billet. 10 lug wheesl. The adapters from 8 to 10 lugs were something like $1500.00 or something.
Music is in. Alpine double din head unit, monitors in the headrests, backup camera, Gibson headers and cat back exhaust, CAI, Hypertech chip etc..
The rest of the mods will have to get finished up out here. LOL. I'm having fun with it. It will be hard to maneuver in downtown Seattle. LOL
Oh and Henry is doing great. I'll probably be flying him out in July to work and tweak some of the rides. I'm hoping / planning to be in Fl for a week vacation or so in mid July.
EricWoller 05-12-2011, 06:18 PM jeezz, you gunna pull anything with that?
Lenny Carey 05-18-2011, 07:57 AM Hey 82 , Good to hear of the upgrades you have made to the " Yummy Teriyaki " truck . Would love to be able to see the truck and hear the sound system . I can only imagine what it is like . Looks and sounds like a hell of a fun ride ! Tell Mr. Henry hello for me and hope you get some time off . You previously asked about my new aluminum radiator . It is a Champion 3 row that 464elky had extra and he installed it for me along with the radiator and fender cross braces . Remember whenever you get the time , we would love to see more of your Space Shuttle photos .
jlcustomz 05-18-2011, 09:48 PM Every real man should drive adually at least once in his life. I drive a 21' long 84 gmc panel van as a daily driver.IF you can.t get respect ,command fear.
hotrodpc 05-18-2011, 11:38 PM Nice GMT-400 series truck 82 Elco. Nice to see the economy isn't hurting a few people. I had a 96 CC dually for awhile. Loved it. I'd like to have another one, but I can't justify it with what little towing I do of my 18ft trailer. My other trucks tow it just fine when I do have to tow something.
Having vehicles shipped around the country... Is it safe to assume you're military?
Lenny Carey 05-19-2011, 08:04 AM The " ghost " is not military . We really think he is :secret:
82 Elco 05-29-2011, 12:24 PM Lol... You guys are funny. No sir, not military. I'm an Aerospace Engineer that up until last week was supporting our nation's soon to be extinct, space program.
Most recently, I was asked to work in the Everett WashingtonI am now working on commercial airplanes. There are some similarities, they are delta winged objects. One drops, I mean glides, like a brick. The other flies domestic and international routes. :smileyb:
The Dually shipped out last week. The saga continues... the carrier busted an air bag and damaged a radiator. He and the cars on the carrier including the dually are stuck somewhere in Oregon I think. Ugh.
I've started looking for another truck or maybe an Elco out here. LOL...
