So flying out to San Diego and picking up my 69 EL next Thursday. Driving it back to Corpus with a few stops along the way. The issue is.. no A/C. So I'm looking at the Vintage air unit but I'll need a reputable shop to install the unit. Any recommendations for a shop this far south or will I have to drive to Austin/San Antonio to make sure it's put in right?? Thanks, Todd

I hear there is a pretty good shop in Round Rock TX that knows a bit about a/c and Elkies.
Good luck on your drive to its new home.

If you can make it to CC without A/C, I highly recommend Mike's Mobile auto in CC. That is the shop that rebuilt my hubby's '71 Chevelle, and it is a beauty!! See it here:

Click on the photo gallery, then on the Chevelle.

As a former Corpus Christian....Mike is the best in town!

Good luck and tell him Erin sent you!
