My a/c in my 86 EL works great at times but then if you make a hard turn with it the a/c cool goes way down and it may pick up in a short distance and it may not ?? WEIRD, at least to me ! Would the vacuum control module/switch/actuator have anything to do with that ? Thanks for your thoughts. WP

That would be the power steering cutout switch doing its job.

That switch is located in the line right above the steering gear which is mounted there on the left side frame.
