hey guys i have a 84 with ccc 4 bbl q-jet on a gm crate 350 260hp with a jegs performance brand th-350 tranny. please bear with me here iam new at this so pretty much everything is a learning expierence for me but when i first got my engine in the el co i was using a accel non computer controled vacuum advance distributor with a ccc q-jet i learned the hardway that you cant mix non comp with comp-controled but besides the fact that i ran rich and had the check engine light on and had poor mileage my el co drove beautifully when i gave it gas it just wanted to go even without a heavy foot i could make the tires chirp and to me it just made the car feel light and brand new (it had some balls) but i had to put a stock HEI distributor i think you would call it computer timing advance so my question is what can i do to get the balls back nothing crazy just the ign stuff to help out with the timing spark? thanks in advance philip

If you can't run computer carb and non comp distributer can you run a non electronic carb with a "computer" stock distributer?

Andy it still won't run right, it's missing info....... Phillip you can do some performance upgraded to your stock HEI. Different module, and coil... Still won't have as much ignition advance thou as your computer is controling it and not the vacuum of the engine

Really? I think it's what I got now, it's only got 1 harness, looks like 2 wires, going to it, looks like there's room for another. I'll take pics
