I need the name of the switch that the canister purge valve is attached to. This switch sits to the left, in front of the thermo housing on my 84.

EGR/PURGE TVS

It's a Thermal Vacuum Switch. The sensor sits inside the water jacket. The switch is operated by the coolant temperature. Vacuum is supplied according to the temperature of the coolant.
