Hey guys,

I'd like to get my Camino back on the streets. She's been sitting in the garage because my plates haven't been renewed simply because emissions fails me because I have no "Smog Pump". The 1st time I passed, because they forgot to check for it. Unfortunately, since I bought it out of state, it's never had one on it.

Does anyone know anything about these damn things and could help me put one on? It's going on an '86. If there was a way around this, it would be even better. Unfortunately, I don't think there is.

Any help would be great, since I have no idea how to install one, what parts I need, etc.

I may be able to get you one off an '83. Will find out Mon, and get it if I can.

You should be able to get one at Autozone and what not. Perhaps check there? It's part of all the smog crap to meet smog standards. You might check in and see if it's old enough to not need to pass smog. Or just register it in Grand Junction. No smog over here.:smileyb:
