Yesterday went to Alexandria ,Ontario to their annual car show and took first place in my class :nanawrench: ( favorite 80's ) had some good competition ,but you cant keep a good Elky down. which brings me to the subject of Elky's , almost never see another one in all the shows I go to (about 12-15 a year) but yesterday there were three others . I had to sit down and take a drink of water (lol) apparently all three of them (owners) had just recently purchased them. I've had mine for 14 years now. There was a 1960 greenish -blue, a red 1973, awesome looking with a 4 speed and another 1987 ,black SS Choo-Choo. The 59 knew about the site and said he's checked it out on occasion , the other two didnt seem interested , and I was also wearing my El Camino Central . Com ( NECOA ) golf shirt . Anyway it was a great day ,oh yea two friends won in their classes too.:smileyb: Happy Canada Day to all and Happy Independence Day to all my American buddy's..:beer:

Congrats on that 1st place award, Don. Hopefully, you'll see more and more Elkies each year at events like that. Have you ever contacted or met up with Uli or DinoElcaminoSS, both of whom live in Quebec City?? Happy Canada Day to you all!

No I have not met either one but have answered a few posts from Uli. Even though Quebec city is only 2 to 2,5 hours away it is not a easy get together. but one day I'm sure I'll meet them . As I have said to you before I get around.( just like the song says):beer:

Hi Tom , thanks for the congrats. Lynn and I were just saying it would be nice to see everyone at Sturbridge this year, but sorry to say we cant make it this year due to other obligations.
