Edonthebeach and Cj and I went to Wire Grass Mall Car show yesterday. In spite of some rain drops, I had a great time. Finally got to meet 2 more gentlemen from the forum. Ed and CJ are two great guys! We represented the NECOA at the show. There was about 150 show cars there.

Couldn't get out of my muddy road to go to the Wiregrass show. I never have made it because it's not that well publicized. Anyhow, have any of you gone to the Plant City show? It's the third Saturday of every month and has been held for many years, usually 250 to 500 cars on the streets and parking lots of "downtown" Plant City depending on weather, etc. Try it, you'll like it. http://www.turbobuicks.com/forums/images/smilies/yup.gif

Just that it's every third Saturday of every month, Bill. It's a rather large show on a busy night, and a great atmosphere in a historic Florida town. If you google it, you can probably find some more info about it. If you're game to drive from Pinellas to Wesley Chapel, it's well worth the trip to the Plant City show right off I-4. Tampa's even closer, of course. Also, downtown Dade City has a real nice show on the first Saturday of every month. It's kind of slow in the hot nights of summer, but jumps once the snowbirds are in town. ;-)

I would like to encourage you all to post an event such as this to the Region 6 calendar when it is known that a few, or several, members will attend. I have seen after the fact threads on this 'Wiregrass' place before. Even though this place may fall into the category of regular cruise events; if there will be several members there...It becomes an NECOA Region 6 meet as well as a greater opportunity to promote new interest and membership! I believe the events calendar moderater would be good with this. Just post it and let him (me) know.

I already consider Ed, C J, and Tootie great friends. Hope to add both of you (Bill and John) by the NPD show in October!

wiregrass is a nice place, they park you right on the main street and people stroll by into the evening - plus there are good hot dogs!

Good to hear that you guys were able to meet up at the show . Skinyfisher has told me about it and sounds like a fine place to go . Congratulations Bill and C.J. on your awards ! Any photos ? Bill , I would love to see your ride in person as it looks great in photos . I have seen C.J. `s ride and really like the white pearl paint . Those of you that have not checked it out , Bill`s website is worth a look . Like Randy mentioned , post the get together info and Randy will get it in . For those that don`t know , Randy and Jay came up with the region calendar idea to promote get togethers for our NECOA members and the administrators allowed it . Randy is the moderator . While there are literally hundreds of cruise ins and shows around Florida that could be listed , we want to have it with just the ones that members are attending . This is reasonably new idea and we will see how it works out . So far , so good . Feed back is always welcomed .

Plant City show is this Saturday, the third Saturday of the month. Time to arrive is anytime from 3PM on. Weather will probably be a factor in attendance, because, after all, this is rainy season and downpours are always a threat.

Maybe I missed it, but when will there be another WireGrass Show? I would like to come up from S.W. Fla. Plant City is not too far, but my job still keeps me 'hangin local' most of the time. 1yr, 6mo. 2 wks., 3 days,7 hrs., 27 minutes, and I will be making a lot of shows. Guess I will have to clean/wax the Elky.......

Enjoyed seeing the short video of those sweet looking rides . I`m pleased to see new members coming into the group , finding cool places and encouraging others to meet up . The photos reminded me of downtown Eustis were we did a show several years ago . RK , were you visiting the area or are you living there now ? You really helped me out some time back when you posted on the lower door panels with dual 5 1/2 in. speakers from Dixie Monte Carlo . I love mine . Sam , hoping to meet you at some point . Maybe at the upcoming NPD All GM Silver Springs Show .

I hope to be at that one ED will give you a heads up just before. That one is still listed as a 3pm to 8pm, will need to watch that as they generally are back on the morning shows than. I will give Larry at Premium a call an ask him if that is solid or going to change.
