Hey Guys, my Dad and I are working on a replacement engine and I have searched the threads here and many web sites to de-code the # behind the alt. on the block. The # is V0599800 which seems to be a targetmaster replacement engine, the casting # is 14016379 which seems to be a 79 350 for corvette or other. Is there any place where I can find out more info on the engine code #? One site says that the V = Flint the 05 = may and the 99 is supposed to be the day of the week but that seems unlikely :) and the 9980 is some code for replacement engines. Is there a site that specifically IDs replacement block code #s?
