I am using an LT-1 from a '95 buick roadmaster. It came with variable speed power steering and apparently has a computer to operate it from the speed sensor. Does anyone have a suggestion for a regular ol' p.s. pump that would fit onto the B Body configuration?

Thanks.

Craig

Could check with street&performance. Besides the new stu$$, they have take off items.

Is there a reason you want to get rid of the variable effort steering?

My roadmaster donor came with a non-variable pump. I've had no issues with it.
You should have a speed sensor line to the computer anyway, they all need vehicle speed as an input. So why not just hook up the variable pump?

I don't have the computer for the power steering pump. There is a plug in that controls the flow of fluid in the ps line for the pump. So if the pump is the same and you aren't having any problems with the steering then it should work for me, also. I'm not interested in tracking down and finding a place to install the variable speed controller.

Thanks.
