Another question. Does anyone know what all I can get power split bench seats for a 83 out of, i.e. will a buick seat work?

Any 78-88 A/G-body split bench power seat assembly will work in your Elky. I've seen them in Regal, Monte Carlo, Gran Prix, and Cutlass. Be careful that you test it before you buy it. I've pulled several from junkyard cars and each one had a different problem in it.

FWIW, recently installed reconditioned euro-style buckets in my elky. Wanted to have power on both and found out that was not an option on elkies. But, since it was on other G-bodies, I decided to give it a shot. Got two power platforms from Mike's Montys for $50 each along with the refurb buckets (new foam and covered, $200 each) and am satisfied with the result. Plan to install a console and place the 6-way seat controls in it as there was no easy place to do it on the seats. I like the ride SOOOOOO much better.

BTW, two factory holes in the floorpan for the old 60/40 seats lined up fine, making the conversion less of a hassle.

I got mine out of a cherry 85 Pontiac Grand Prix at a Pick N' Pull that had 59k miles on the clock. Cost me $60 for the seats. The rest of the car was really nice except for where it was hit just behind the passenger door. The color is lighter than original but it doesn't really bother me.
