DONE IT ALL WITH ALL YOUR HELP.
AC recharge, changed ac clutch switch adjusted till clutch was working correct. Been blowing ice cubes for a week no problems. My high low switch inside was only working on high.Today replaced it did the same. Checked resistors good, opened the high/low blower relay the n/c contacts bad for low speed. Replaced it all speeds working fine. ac clutch wont drop out with or without ac on. Put the old switch back same problem. Disconnected the ac clutch relay still wont drop out. I tried to keep it short everybody's help has been great and don't want you to go over the same thing thats been done in many post.:dontknow::dontknow:

I wasn't aware of an AC clutch relay- are you talking about the Blower relay you just replaced? For the AC to be on all the time, 12v has to be going to the compressor ( or the clutch is just stuck). First, remove the power plug on top of the compressor and see if the clutch releases. If not, then the clutch is stuck. Try gently prying up on the clutch to see if it will release, and if so then check clearance ( .025, IIRC)

If it releases with the power plug removed, then there is a 4 prong square connector that provides power to the Blower Relay, and takes the power from the AC Low Pressure switch to the AC compressor. That connector goes bad due to heat and poor connections, and could cause 12v to cross over to the AC Compressor line. It is located on the passenger side of the vehicle, about half way between the Compressor and the Accumulator- just look for it.

Were you the one that adjusted the A/C low pressure switch because the clutch kept cycling in and out?If so maybe you need to adjust it back a little the other way.

The ac clutch froze up so i took out the new ac low pressure switch and unscrewed the adjustment screw and there where no threads on the switch. When i tried to tighten it, it just kept turning. I cant believe a $10.00 part just recked my ac clutch unit. Can the clutch pulley be re-built or i do i have to get a new unit? I had to take the belt off it get the truck started.:dontknow:
