their site still shows the February date. I found it on their calendar yesterday but today it is not there.

Doesn't surprise me about wrong dates. If it's not one of their regular track events, it's hard to find a link to it.

I'm laying low in the shade until Oktoberfest, the '55's still off road and the heat is hot!

I'll be there, if it's true...the date?
Anyone want to make an overnighter, burgers on the grille, cool off in the pool, call me.
They named this event after one of my aka's..."HOT ROD"...

Rafael , I looked at www.racepbir.com and it said tickets for spectators and crew are $ 15 and childrer 12 and under are free . There is drag racing with Quick 16 dragsters , Quick 16 Doorcars , Eliminator , Jr. Dragsters and Street Bikes and vendor area . Gates open at 7 am and awards are at 3 pm . I did not see anything about the car show part which we enjoyed so much last year . They said more info will be added so maybe a car show is planned . I`m sorry I`m too busy right now to check but their Main Office # is 561-622-1400 if someone wants to check on the car show etc. I would like to attend but not sure right now . Anyone else attending ?

Hey everyone, I might be able to make this, gonna be in St. Augustine this weekend. Just checked Lenny's link and found this:
In addition to the action on the drag strip, car enthusiasts can take a stroll over to the swap meet to find that hard to locate part for their automobile. Gates open at 7am and racing begins at 9am. Spectator and crew prices are $15; children 12 and under are free. For more information on how to secure a booth in the swap meet and racer entry prices, visit http://www.racepbir.com/

The actual link to the page I found this on, after some plunking around from the main page is

Sorry I am still doubtful for this one . When looking again on the links I still do not see any mention of car show / display . Anyone else see it ?

I've been too tied up with repairs to the house...and the Beemer...I gotta check on that in the morning...Looking forward to a break this weekend but will head further South...to spend some time with Yuyi in Miami. Uh...and I hit the double nickel on Sunday too.

I called a few weeks ago and was told it was on, but now it just says Drags and Swap meet. I'll try again tomorrow to verify. Like I said in earlier post, their website is pretty crappy.

Called today and was told they cancelled the car show. They are still doing the races and swap shop.
I'm just going to go to a local cruisein in Boca.
Or we can hang out at Glen's for the BBQ. :poke:

I started working on my custom center console today...it will feature the big GPS, some hidden LED's, and some toggle switches, 2 cup holders, and maybe a small compartment...
The project starts with a cardboard mock-up, then use it as a pattern to build it out of 1/4" plywood, then cover in glass and resin...upholster, paint, etc.
Once I get further down the road I will be posting the build in the "Interior Restoration" Forum.
So what you're telling me is...I can continue the build Sunday! NO SHOW!

Are you mounting the console inside or on your tonneau?:poke:

Chuck, he was going to tow the console so he could carry his lunch in it :poke:??? !!!

But he found a link to PIMP MY RIDE and got the plans for the console from them so that he can keep the ride constant, you know RED AND FUZZY all over:poke:

I think the reason Glenn is building it so big , is so that he can hide the " Outlaw Grill " , in it and sneak the grill into the Silver Springs Show . LOL !

Lenny, BBQ belongs to Tony unless your making a mandate and passing the privelge to Glenn, do to lose of qualified vehicle. You know that's why Tony got the 55 so he could hide the grille in the trunk, it's going to be a slide out all chrome!! say what,
But there is a rumor that Glenn is going to paint his Elky Red and the new interior and console will be pink and black.

My Magellan 1700 Roadmate GPS has an AV in port...how about a backup camera?
Any suggestions?
I'm still working on the console...cutting wood, glueing, clamping, fitting, designing, all fun stuff.:nanawrench:
I'm also checking out toggle switches and LED's to light up floor boards.
One of the switches could activate the "JUICE"...LOL:beer:

Made progress yesterday, only 2 more pieces to measure, cut, fit and glue.
I think a center console is better than NO center console...yes, the screen is BIG, my eyesight isn't what it used to be.

Hey Chuck , I think the console is starting to look pretty good . If it is finished by the time of the All GM Show , maybe we can sit out in Glenn`s Camino and watch the reruns of the Dukes Of Hazard ! We can put Neil in charge of the popcorn .

Yea Lenny, we can use those pretty ceramic coated headers of yours to pop it on. I know you won't mind if we just lay one of those foil bags down in between # 3 and 5 cylinders and hold it at about 5K RPM for a few minutes.

Lenny Carey

Now , now mr. Neil . You can slap my sister but don`t mess with my nice headers !! :poke:

Header popcorn? Poor Glenn is busy trying to build a console and you are tempting him with inventing the clamps and correct cooking procedures now...:poke: You have to know he will start thinking it out as soon as he reads these posts.
