I posted in driveline, but got no replys, so I'm trying here. I need a diagram, picture or anything that will help with the placement and routing of the ebrake cables on a 80 model. Have new cables, but the old ones are missing or cut.

I changed these out on my 80 while doing the ground up restification.
You can get the two cables at AutoZone or somepleace like that for the rear. The passanger side comes across to a bracket just in front of the driver side rear wheel inside the frame. (My Book is at the shop so I can't scan the diagram) then fastens there with a clip. There is a Bracket you don't have if those cables have been removed. You need it. It connects the other (Driver side rear brake) to the main cable coming back along with the Passanger cable. It is a small bracket about 6 or so inches long about 3 or 4 inches wide and is angled. I suggest that you go to a bone yard to get it it ties all the cables together. It is the place that has the nuts that allow you to adjust the tension. The main cable runs along the driver side of the truck up to the firewall next to the driver side fender well. It is kept in place by a spring clip type ferrel on the end that plugs into the fire wall.
I hope that this helped. I have a broken foot so I am unable to get to the shop to get my manual or I'd just drive over and scan the diagram for you. It sounds complicated but it is pretty simple. Sorry I wish I could give you that diagram.

O.K. front cable went in no problem, passenger side rear went in no problem. I have no clue as to where the drivers side cable attaches to the frame. The passenger side connected at the drivers lower control arm front mount, but I can not find where the drivers cable attaches. Any help will be appreciated. :?
