Well I decided to go headers with true duals. I moded the crossmember & bought Flowtech 11102s. They do NOT fit! The driver side collecter hits the frame so you can't bolt it up. I am in the process of sending them back & getting Dynamax 85118s. I will let you know how they work out. I have a local exhuast shop waiting to hook them up to my turbo mufflers.

Tommy i also had problems with flowtech headers i bought a set that i could see right throught the weld at the head flange. i returned them and bought a set of dynomax 86121 long tube headers and they fit good the only problem i had with them was that i had to tweak my shift linkage just a little to clear the headers.

I had to do this with my Headman's also.
Tommy, I just put in Flowtech #11100flt in my 81 and had NO problems. The closest it comes to the R. upper control arm is about 3/8 in. This is my project car that I installed a F**D LTD crossmember in with little mods. Everything came together this week-end and it sure sounds nice.
BTW, the Flowtechs were 1-5/8 into 3" at the collector, into a 2- 1/2 inch. $95.99 at Advance Auto Parts. Bob.

I am pleased with the dynamax headers so far. They a 3/4 length & fit pretty good. On the drivers side all I did was move the brake fuel return line. On the pass. side, I had to dent in the #4 tube to clear the upper control arm. My muffler guy did a great job bending up the true duals out to my turbo mufflers.

Now that I have had the Dynomax 85118s for a while ,I must say that I am pleased will them. My 350 definantly likes them alot more than the stock manifolds. I nice set of the pants increase in power. My gas mileage has got better too.

I hvae the sme ones...and yepp..I had to modify the shift linkage to clear the headers...but, compared to some of the horror stories I have heard...that's no big deal.

my thorley headers fit nice with no mods needed, although this was for a single exhaust, it was also modded to get rid of the heat riser
