Just joined this will say it's quite impressive. I own a 70 model that's equiped with some unusal options, for a custom el camino. It has factory tack and gauges yes it has the 5000 R.P. M. redline. disc brakes 12 bolt non posi low washer fluid light map light vinyl top. I have been involved with these cars for over 20 years, and I can't remember seeing another like this. Has any one else seen one eqipped like mine? 8)
Nicely equipped and unusual for sure. Most people don't realize that the round gauge dash panel was optional on any chevelle from 70-72. I'd bet that very few (other than SS) were ordered that way. What is the build date of your elky? It could have been a dealer showroom order as a demo. Or in current dealer practise, a packed vehicle to build up the ole profit margin.

This is for Rick no. 509. Thanks for the message. I just went out to my garage and checked the vin on my El Camino it says 01 70. I decoded the place of manufacture and it was Van Nuys. I find this real interesting. Could this add any more value to my El Camino? Also does any one know if it is possable to find out where your Chevelle or El Camino was sold at ?
