Dumb question of the week. We've been restoring an 84 pulled out of the weeds. Runs good. Cleaned off the horn "switch" (two metal plates wired to steering column). When pushed, it clicks near the fuse box (indicating switch and relay works) but horn doesn't blow. Looked for horn to check for electrical signal at horn BUT I CAN'T FIND THE HORN!!!. Where is it supposed to be?
Assuming it is not on the car, where does the wire run?
(felt good about getting it running well; feel stupid not being able to find the horn!)

Inside the drivers side fender right before where the fender bolts to the rad. support. should be two horns right inside the fender.

On my 86, the horn is located at the access hole to the amber running light on the driver side, inside the engine compartment. If you attempt to put yor hand on the running light itself from inside the engine compartment, the horn is actually in the way.

Thanks to the two replies, I was able to find where the horns USED to be; fortunately the wires are still there and they are hot when the horn button is pushed.
Is it worth getting the OEM replacements for $40, or are the "generic" replacements just as good?
Thanks, y'all!

You can probably get a set of OEM horns from a junkyard for $10. I've always wanted to put a set of Cadillac horns in my Elky. 8-)

At a junk yard, there are tons of cars that have horns that will work.
