So i just got my purple elky's replacement!

Its a 1987 elky with a good running 305, burgundy interior cold a/c,pw,pl,buckets,center console,floor shift. It is a pretty clean car i will be bringing it to the silver springs show! I was scared i wasn't gonna be able to bring a elky this year but this one popped up so i grabbed it! I will probably get it painted back the same color after the silver springs carshow!

Yep im having fun so far, i have changed the tail lights,driver seat,windshield washer jug,a/c blower motor,and top of tailgate chrome!

Are you able to transfer any of the newer and or bigger items over to the 87 ie. A/C system, Motor or parts of the motor.

No at least not until the insurance is done and over with the a/c system is trashed everything is broken except for the a/c compressor and the compressor on the 87 is good. The motor in the 87 is really nice so i think im gonna leave it for now and we have to tear the 350 down and make sure the crash didn't do any more damage, other than crack the passenger side head. Here's some pics of my new tail lights and upper tailgate chrome, My interior cleaned up and the windshield washer jug under the hood.

Just found out my new elky is a ss car, it had a spoiler under the bumper at one time. I checked the sticker on the glovebox and found the Z15 code! We have the fenders and header panel off getting ready to jam them the factory dark red metallic! :nanawrench:

That ride is sweet. How did you get that washer bottle to clean up to that white factory color?

Thats a new washer bottle i bought it from dixiemontecarlodepot.com i have to get a new overflow tank next!

Well it looks like i will be coming to silver springs with a primed front end! Alex and I removed the front end and sent the peices to the paint shop to be painted heres the pics!

He has done some pretty nice cars. Yesterday i had it aligned and i put the new headliner and sunvisors in it. I got the ss spoiler today for it, its original one had been ripped off at some point!

Sent the 87 to the body shop today body man said it should be done in about 2 weeks! I am having him do the door jams, the whole bed and the outside of the cruck!

Steven , good to see your progress . Is the wizard going to get painted on the hood like your other El Camino ? I thought it was pretty good looking .

No i was thinking about it but being this car is a true ss im gonna leave it mostly stock!

Went to check out the progress today its coming along pretty well! They have it all primered and guide coated, the jams will be cut in tommorrow and then the blocking will begin! There hoping to have it painted this friday, and wet sanded on monday! So hopefully i will have her back by the end of next week, so i came home and put my new rechromed front bumper together with my new impact strips and re-chromed bumperettes! Today we got most of the car wet sanded to be buffed tommorow. Steven , This is looking really nice and like others , I`m looking forward to seeing it . Hopefully you can make it to the Muscle Car City get together . You are a lucky guy . Around here , if you take your ride into the paint shop you kiss it goodbye for MANY months . They allow you occasional visitation privileges like you are visiting someone in prison .

I picked up my car on saturday and started toward my house 2 miles down the road my car died, my alternator went so i had to have it towed home 5 miles from the house.
