We got a new car into work today, but only temporarily. In a week or so, a couple of our people (not me dang it!) are taking it to Phoenix, Az (being shipped) to the Barrett-Jackson Auction.

It is very fast, awesomely gorgeous, and very very sexy/hot!! :driving:

It's a 2009 Aston-Martin DB 9, V-12, $130,000 + when new. You can look up the details if you want, but here's some close up pics. It makes me feel "all funny inside" !!:inlove: :inlove:

Looks like a nice paint job, but as for me , if it dosen't have a bow tie, it ain't dressed to take out on the town.

It's funny. In Europe I'm much more excited when I see an El Camino. There's always a few Astons somewhere around in the area where I work and no one really gives it any attention. But when I drive my Camino even the Aston owners turn they heads

The beest job I ever had was right after I was discharged in 1980. I took a job at a used exo tic car deslership in Tulsa. The owner had another dealership in Oklahoma City. If a buyer in OKC wanted a car that was in Tulsa, I would drive the car to OKC and drive a replacement back to Tulsa. All summer long I did that. Porsche's, Astons, Bentleys, Ferrari's. My favorite of all was a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR. It is 102 mile on the turnpike and I made it in 45 minutes. I also got fired and a lot of questions at the turnpike gate. The tickets back then had the time stamped on them when you entered the turnpike. That's how they figured my speed. And remember the speed limit was 55...ugh.

Jarhead , If they ever make a movie about your life ; I`m gonna go see it , at least Twice :poke:. What I can`t figure out , is that if someone has enough money to buy one of these Aston-Martins , why don`t they have at least one El Camino ??

are you from that area? I was partially raised in Claremore, then Lewisville ,Tx and graduated from Conroe. I live in Sealy now. No more pine needles in the cowl. I love the 944 btw. It was one of the best handling cars made then. I had a 78 Mustang II King Cobra that I bought new that was that best handling car I've ever owned. My uncle owned a salvage in joplin and he would call when he got something in he thought i'd like. He got in a totaled 69 Mach 1 with 351w in it. I took everything from the 9" to the shaker and put it on the 78. The dyno read 401 hp at the rear wheels. Theres a big difference in weight from the 69 Mach to the 78 Mustang so it ran like a bat outta hell. I never found top speed, it just kept pulling. I did spend time in the Oklahoma county jail because of that car. 17 days and $2200 in fines 1981! No illegal substance in effect. The cops clocked me at 144.. long story but just know that guns were drawn and handcuffs were used. Too bad that car became a torch..
