Need some advice, I have a couple of air conditioning lines that have been cut in the aluminum line. The problem is that I can not remove the piece left behind in the other line. I have tried to pull and turn with no luck, it seems to be stuck, probably the reason that it was cut in the first place. Has anyone ran into this before and how did you remove the remaining piece left behind after the cut.

Look for a bolt between the two lines on the back of the compressor, they should
come off together. hope this is what your talking about dutch.

Thanks Dutch, but no, these are lines that someone just cut instead of trying to unscrew. They may of tried to unscrew but could not so they just cut the line. I see this alot at salvage yards also. Mine are the lines running to the evaporator and the line running up to the drier. Hard to explain, but it seems that the two pieces have almost became one part, that is how tight they are.

Can you give us some pictures so that we can see what you're talking about?
Keep in mind that the high pressure side will need to be crimped,I haven't seen anyone use a simple hose clamp on that side that worked.
The hose assembly that attaches to the compressor is available new and I believe they have one that is R134 compatable(it has a liner inside).
You could take all of the parts off and take them to an A/C shop that does hoses or a hydraulic hose shop as they usually will carry bulk hose for A/C and can make them up the way you want.
