I have a Gold Elky (check the gallery) that I am trying to restore the interior.
I'm working with about 7-8 hundred bucks. I originally wanted to go with black cause it looks so goood! But I have realized all that I'd have to change everything going from tan (caramel) to black; This includes seat belts, dash and every thing else. I'm wanting to know what colors I could go with w/o having to change the seatbelts and dash color immediately, yet still look good with gold.

Also where is the best place for dash caps/complete dashes, carpet and side panels? -I've checked honest charleys--don't ecc members get a discount

Thanx in advance

I can't help ya with colors but if you give Honest Charleys your ecc member # you get 10% off and they are friendly and fast .(I just got a good size order from them)

I've also thought about doing the interior a Bronze-ish/gold-ish and black.
Whad'ya think about that combo?

Guy, What do ya think of this. Keeping some of the original color I can wait and just freshen the original color when time and money allow.

Stay lighter, remember where you live. Black is cool (as in neat) and anyone up north will tell you it's great but as a Floridian I can tell you it's something you may regret later since it can get real hot. Also the lighter color looks classy with your nice exterior color anyway.

Personally I don't care for the two-tone on the dash but I do like the two-tone for the seats. My dad just accidentally did something similar with his Mustang and it actually looks real good. He did his dash in black as well as carpet with the rest in white. Turned out to be a nice contrast.

Something else is to get your interior guys opinion. He's seen plenty of custom interiors (I hope) and may have some very insightful ideas.

Last but not least. Please get a new steering wheel!! ;)

See Ya,
AL (remember, this was just my opinion so it isn't law, heck it may suck :) )

Ok Just got a quote that I think is fair.

Cut and fit dash - 250
Cut and sewn to fit carpet - 250
Seat 2 tone - 325
Sun visor/head liner - 80
Total ~ $905

Is this worth it? He might also be able to do the top door panels for about 100.

Here's a pic I took at Carlisle. Not my car and I don't have a clue who's it is. It says Malibu but it' looked 100% Elky to me. I have pics of the car as well but I don't want to get off topic. :) This sounds similar to what you're after.

See ya,
AL

That's a little extreme, but nice. I'm still thinking of going with black and tan.
