Drove out to Harold's junkyard in Briggs. Much to my dismay, the back lot where he kept all the older stuff is empty. There are one or two El Camino's left.. maybe 70's era, not sure. I didn't check real close when I discovered that area was empty and the 66 parts car had been crushed.

I visited the junkyard in Stonewall yesterday near Fredericksburg, ran into the same thing, "we don't have much of a call for older parts so we crush them when we get them". Seems as tho most of the yards in my arear ar not hanging onto the older cars. It's a crying shame.

Harald's dad (Floyd) has a yard between Leander and Georgetown (Cantwell's) that had a couple of Caminos last time I was out there.
Also, the guys at Ace in Austin called me a couple of weeks ago and told me they had just gotten in a 5th gen. I know most of these guys crush at least once a year.

Thank's for tip, I'll call and see if he has anything. I keep my fingers crossed all the time.
