Hi, My mechanic is in the process of repairing my 1981 El Camino (my first :)) and needs the aluminum tubing that runs from the evaporator on the left up over the radiator and back to the condensor. We're also needing a turn signal lever. Any information about these parts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

The a/c part is probably an easy find at a junkyard. Unless they want you to buy the system and not just the part. If no luck then maybe the parts store or an aftermarket parts website. I would probably check the local Chevy dealer parts department for the turn signal lever, surprising what they still have in stock. I've seen levers on ebay at reasonable prices, too.

You know on some newer G body's they went with a braided Line and did away with the Alum line

That line on my 78 is formed aluminum at both ends and flexable line in the middle where it crosses the core support. I've seen it available via Old Air Products. My 78 uses an A6 compresor, but the rest of the system should be the same through 87, except for maybe the compressor manifold..
