There's no date yet, but acauth1, the founder of ECC, is working with the support team from AutoForums to get the bug repaired. It shouldn't be long, and then we'll get back up to speed. This is one of the reasons we started early this year - trying to build enough time into the system for bugs that popped up. Thanks for asking..................Ken :poke:

Just be patient...I'm sure it's being worked out. I know how computer glitches can be...hard to predict when they'll be fixed, you just know it when it is! (Kinda like working on cars, come to think of it)

Gentlemen & Gentleladies, please be patient. We have time built into the schedule for glitches just such as this one. acauth1 is personally working alongside the technicians at AutoForums to make the "bridge" program work. And there is absolutely no one that knows more about this system than acauth1. I'll update the members as soon as I get any new information.....................Ken

Voting for the NECOA 2012 Calendar Competition is now open.

To vote, please go to the Forum Gallery. The Gallery icon is located on the top ribbon of each forum page. When you reach the Gallery, find "2012 NECOA Calendar". You will find a selecton of Elkies within each generation by clicking on the photo that represents the generation. Vote your choice by clicking on the rating bar found beneath each entry. If you have difficulties, please PM or eMail me at kenrogers1@sbcglobal.net (kenrogers1@sbcglobal.net). Please read and comply with the rules posted below.

2012 NECOA Calendar Voting Rules

We have a very good selection of El Caminos this year, and a short time to get the voting completed and the Calendars produced. In the interest of fairness, please adhere to the following rules:
1) Voting will begin at 12 Noon on October 6th, and end on October 25th at 12 Noon, Eastern Standard Time.
2) Cast your vote for only one Elky in each generation, by clicking anywhere on the STARS under your favorite Elky.
3) Please ignore the “STARS” rating on the selection bar beneath each Elky. It is meaningless, and has no value in determining the number of votes cast for each car. The selection bar’s only function is to enable you to cast your vote.
4) You may vote only one time for the one Elky you select as your favorite in each generation. (Although the program will allow you to vote one time for more than one Elky in each generation, that action will make the vote for your favorite meaningless. This is also a violation of the rules. Please remember that the Calendar Committee can see the votes as they are cast. As in the past, stuffing the ballot by voting more than once (no matter how you do so) will be not be tolerated and will be grounds for removal from the contest and possible suspension from the site.)
5) Again, ignore the “STARS” rating on the selection bar beneath each Elky. It is meaningless, and has no value in determining the number of votes cast for each car. The selection bar’s only function is to enable you to cast your vote.
6)The El Caminos with the highest number of votes cast will be the winners, subject to the limitation of only three winners from a single NECOA Region in any one calendar. In those cases, the fourth or higher El Camino from that same Region will be eliminated and replaced by the next highest Elky from another Region.
7) In case of a tie, the Calendar Committee will consider whether an El Camino has been a past winner, the relationship between the Elky and its background, and the overall appearance of the photo in determining which one will be included in the calendar.
Placement of individual winners on the Cover and on specific pages in each Calendar will be at the sole discretion of the Calendar Committee, and will not necessarily reflect the number of votes each winner has received in the balloting.

Since I am an entrant (I think) then I waive my right to vote. I think everyone of you deserves to be a winner, and I cannot choose between you.

Good Luck Everyone!

So far, less than 50 members have voted for their choice of El Caminos in the various 2012 NECOA Calendars that are being planned.

PLEASE BE SURE TO VOTE FOR YOUR CHOICE IN EACH OF THE FIVE GENERATIONS; BUT ONLY ONE VOTE PER MEMBER!

Com'on folks. :poke: Would you rather live in a country where the "powers that be" pick out 12 cars at random and tell you that those are the winners - or would you rather live in a country that gives you the opportunity to select the winners yourself. Think about it when you decide that the voting will be done by the other members - that you would rather not take the time. :poke: Now that you're all charged up with that American, can-do spirit - go to the Gallery and vote!!..........................Ken

Let's VOTE folks! Don't let the other members have the final say on which of those beautiful Elkies make the Calendar - You know more about what you like and appreciate than they do. I mean, do they know that your favorite color is yellow, or white, or brown, or red - there's loads of red elkies?...................Ken:beer: :texas:

To answer a general question that I heard a while back. The owner's residence State, name, and user name were removed from the Elkies this year so that the members should not feel pressured to vote a person instead of a favorite. Sometimes those two things really get mixed up in competitions like this. So, please just relax, take a few minutes to admire this years outstanding crop of Elkies, and then vote for YOUR favorite, without any outside pressure. Thanks for the opportunity to bump this Voting Thread ahead without calling it a bump...........................Ken  :You_Rock:

Donny,

Don't quit your day job to become the next Longfellow but, your sentiments were spot on. The voting is over and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that particiapted. It was a pleasure to see all the creative photos of rides from all over the globe. And, thanks to those who weighed in on the contest. This should be a professional looking calendar which each member can be proud to own. I look forward to seeing all twelve of the winners in full color each month next year.
