71 el camino, 350. I am not getting a spark. Went to check ignition coil and I will be darned if it is where it is suppose to be. Distributor cap is a Delco remy, 8 plug wires on the cap with nothing leading to a coil. It is pretty old and I intend to change but I was going to tackle coil first (that will be another thread). Anyone recognize? Suggestions? I was thinking there may have been some modifications. Battery is brand new, and it is turning over. Thanks

The cap has the coil in it. You have a standard 75 and up GM HEI distributor. Do a search (right under the NECOA emblem at the top of the page) for hei and you will find all kinds of how to check it out and fix it.

Welcome aboard. Yea, Again check to see if you have 12 volt`s to the big red/pink wire and it should be plugged in the distributor battery side.
