So my local friends don't get it but I figured you guys might. I just pick up a 1990 K3500 Chev single cab, long, box, non-dually. $1,200. The reason why I like it is it has 100,000 original miles, a 454, a 4-speed, 4wd, and was oil sprayed every year (up hear that really counts). If I wanted to I could turn it around for double what I paid untouched. If I fix it it could be even more.

Does need a clutch and a windshield but other than that its only cosmetic work.

Anyone think it was a terrible decision on my part? Anyone see were i'm coming from? I am intending on driving it not tearing the engine out.

I'm sure you meant 1500. I used to use a texture sprayer full of used motor oil and hose my vehicles down every winter when I lived up in Ohio. Can't beat the tbi 454 and hd four speed in those old trucks. I think you got a hell of a deal, That's just me though. With the 454 it shouls also have a 14 bolt semi floating rear also.

No it is a 3500 1-ton. That was the the thing that got me thinking it was a really good deal.
