hello all! it's been quite a while since my last reply on elky central. a long time friend of mine(chvypwr) installed it for me. since i have a thing for limited patience,he did alot of the work. i tried using a special drill bit from eastwood, but it barely made 20 bores before it finally went dull. so we had use an air chisel to break the spot welds. after about 2-3 hrs of doing this, and cutting a slit at the sail panel,it was off like a prom dress! the wheel well had to be pounded on to straighten it out,she got hit pretty hard when all the damage ensued.(hence the main reason for the replacement)times like these makes me glad i know the friends i know!!! we started on this project about 2 in the afternoon on 5/28/04 and he got it all welded in about 8 in the evening. it just needs a little body fill and grinding of the welds. after all of this all she'll need is proper primer and shot with a good coat of paint!! we're almost there!! then one of my lifetime goals will then be finished!
