I am interested in buying a 1966 ElCamino. I don't know anything, hence my nick name. I found a '66 with a 350, AT, POSI, Dual exhaust, Factory air? It is rough but not rusted out. Needs a new bed, new interior and clean up the engine compartment. What is a fair price? $2,500?
$3,000? Less?

That could be in the ballpark. If you figuire it'll take another 5-6 thou to put it into good condition I would say go for it.
