This picture is from the November 2002 SuperChevy. I think this exhaust setup looks awesome, but I don't know anything about it and I'm hoping someone can fill me in. I'd love to have this on my '76. How are the pipes routed, would there be room for my cats and mufflers? The cats I have now are about the same size as my mufflers, so I don't know if they come smaller or not. (I would replace both if I got this) Also, where do the cats and mufflers actually go? Is this going to interfere with my ground clearance? I may want to lower the suspension eventually. I wont ask about cost yet because at this point I probably don't even want to know. Any info would be appreciated.

Sidepipe setups are straight pipes, with glass pack type mufflers inside.
You could also install cut-outs in your original exhaust system and attatch the sidepipes through the cut-outs and use them whem you really want to impress. Or, you could take the ricer route and buy some phoney ones.

Back when I was a young man (Younger man?!?) I had a set of side pipes on a 66 Malibu custom. I thought that I was the **** of the rock! What a ride, 1966 Chevelle 2Door Custom w/375 horse 327 Muncy 4 posi rear 12 bolt buckes, console and me! 8)

I got a lot of tickets for loud exhaust and speeding. I thought about putting some on the 76 Elky but opted not to. By the way that Elky you show in the top post, it was here last year in Dallas meeting with members of ChevyTalk and D/FW MMCC members on its trip to CA.
