Chuck,If it,s any consolation to you, your truck truely would dress up the back of any tow vehicle.:poke: But let,s hope we all can stay away from that & have a smooth ride In & out of there. Had a dead battery 2 years ago. Figured it out the night before going last year that a computer relay that,s not currently in a concealed location was upside down ,filling with water from the day before bath , & keeping the computer on. OOPS

LOL...good memory!

Won't be an issue, as the Bel Air has now been relocated to my garage in Texas. And yes I am replacing all rubber fuel lines with -6AN lines and fittings. I don't want any expensive bonfires.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday, Turkey Run is very busy with everyone interested in different areas like the used parts vendors, car corral, etc. the best way is to meet at a certain time in a designated area. I suggest we meet by Campers World at 1pm Saturday. Friday is the day I arrive and it's usually very hectic for me. Take care and see you there, Tony.

Good to see that you all are attending the Daytona Turkey Run . I wish I could make it but the good news is that we have a yearly Thanksgiving get together and have a bunch of family coming into town for it . CJ and Tootie , thanks again for the very nice plaque you gave me at Silver Springs that has the saying " A good friend will bail you out of jail but a true friend is sitting next to you saying , WOW that was fun " ! I have it up on my wall . :smileyb:

The best place to meet is Camper's World, I know some are only going to be there Friday or Saturday so let's meet at 1pm both days for a quick BS section and group picture. 9 more days!

Just got my latest issue of "Chevy Hard Core" and saw this great article featuring our NECOA member Joe LeLeux (aka jlcustomz) from Jacksonville, FL at last year's Turkey Run. Here's a link to the article:

Thanks John, that,s pretty cool. Pics are from march show, when my hood paint was too fresh to finish buffing.Since I,ve had internet pictures going around the past year, I,ve seen my share of cruel comments posted here & there. But since I deserve half of them & the other half are from people who couldn,t fabricate their way out of a wet paper bag, it,s all good.:evil2:

John , Thanks so much for the heads up on the article , I would not have seen it otherwise . We really appreciate that you spend a lot of your time guiding NECOA and helping us to enjoy it more . Joe , congratulations on this feature and it is well deserved ! Thanks also for the PM . It was very nice of Edonthebeach to give me a credit and he is truly the one to be commended for this fine work . I first saw your ride at the Nov. Turkey Run a couple of years ago and spoke with the guy that owned the beautiful El Camino that was next to you . I mistakenly thought you were from the Tampa area and I was disappointed when we did not hear back from you . I started asking and searching numerous websites on shows in that area trying for a couple of years to contact you to get you to join NECOA . I would describe your Camino but people were starting to think ; that as a carpenter would say , I was " one line past plumb " . What you said on sometimes getting unflattering comments is very true and realize you can take it with a " grain of salt " . I find people and especially car guys are very opinionated and not always polite in their comments particularly when they are hiding behind a computer . Right , wrong or indifferent , everyone has an opinion of what or how they would do something . There are a number of other well known websites I enjoyed going on to but stopped after I saw so many of them getting into flaming wars . I am so glad that ECC is not like that and that behavior would not be tolerated here . While there a few " over the top " elements of your interpretation and build , I would love to have it sitting in my driveway . I wish I had the talent to do something like that . It is this quality of vision and workmanship that members like you , 464elky and others possess that I so much admire and wish I could do . :You_Rock:

oh, i will absolutely take credit for the video, i think it's a good one. and today it already has almost as many views as my own car and the cars of dreams video; it passed the gatornational video and all those took a few years to get those views!

it's pretty cool to have that many people see the vids.

Hi Jax , Good to hear from you and hope that you come up with another El Camino . Jax has had a number of other rides over the years . Those of us that have been around for several years may remember Jax81 from a Super Chevy Show in Palm Beach . He had a brown colored Camino that could have used some TLC . Fortunately, Jax also has a good sense of humor . As a joke , I put a fake pile of the " dog dirt " on his air cleaner and we called him over and waited for him to discover it . We had a good friendly laugh and he affectionately began referring to the Camino by the name of " Brownie " . We have kept in touch and had a few laughs about it since then . Sorry I can`t make this show but sure glad to see you others heading there in a couple of days . For those that might be interested in this massive 4 day show inside the Daytona Beach International Raceway , check out www.TurkeyRun.com . The last Turkey Run I attended , I spent three days walking and looking and don`t think I saw it all . At the end of the day and through the night there is a cruise in , car show , bands and a number of other events going on .
