I looked in a few books I have, and I can't find anything factory on an air valve by the gas tank. Maybe I'm just missing something here.
Here's a silly question. Did you ever have air shocks on it? How about traceing the line back? Where or what direction does it go?

I'm sure others on this forum will be able to help.

Good luck.

AIR SHOCKS IS RIGHT.

On my 85 the valve is under the gas cap door next to the filler neck.

On my 71 the valve is right next to the liscense plate behind the rear bumper.

Both are for the air shocks.

It's an air start for the jet engine it had beforeyou got it. You've got the one-off prototype that everyone has been searching for. ;)

I third it, Air Shocks. Mine have long since bit the dust. Air bags/gas shocks are in the near future right after the engine swap that's planned. I'm gonna keep the original fill spot for the air shocks.

Good luck that yours work good.

make four for air shocks. I want to plumb mine up seperately so I can control one side at a time. mostly to help with hard drag launches.

I want to plumb mine up seperately so I can control one side at a time. mostly to help with hard drag launches. I recommend switching to Airlift Airbags separately valved for drag racing.

Yes, air bags in the springs are the way to go & of course performance shocks.

Use it just like putting air in your tires. Can't remember a max PSI so someone else will have to chime in with that (100 PSI?). What you use it for. When you have a heavy load that will drop the rear end it helps in leveling the truck back out.

Yes 100 psi for the factory air shocks is maximun, 30 psi on the low side. I doubt they still function anymore.
