I have an 82 Elky that I recently lowered in the back for cheap by using some rear springs out of a 93 Camaro. They are only pigtailed on the bottom and open on top so you can cut the coils to lower it to your taste.

You also need the spring isolater plates that go on top of the spring.
I got the springs and isolater plates at the salvage yard for ten bucks!
I know these guys pretty well and they might have given me a little better deal than the average customer but you should still be able to get them cheap.

I cut one coil off my Camaro springs and it lowered it about and inch or inch and a half after it settled for a day or so. That put the fender at just about the top of the rear tire which is right where I wanted it. Good luck!

I bought some springs for the elky that lowered it on all four corners, made it handle ten times better. They were cheap so i was a little nervouse about buying them, but they turned out be real real good, all four cost me about 180 i believe, I'll look up the info on where i got them if you want
