Where (which rear wheel) has the adjusting mechanism for the park brake? Mine needs adjusting. Probably the brakes need adjusting, also, but I know how to do that. Just new to the Elkies.

Thanks in advance.

Adjust the brakes, if needed, first. The parking brake adjuster is just in front of the drivers side rear wheel and just inside the frame rail. You will see both rear cables coming over and combining intoa bracket with the adjuster on it.

I really appreciate the help. It's where I thought it would logically be, but then, Chebby didn't always use logic. :smileyb: I've got an adjustment wrench, but have found a big, common screwdriver works just as well.

Parking brake adjuster uses a wrench and visegrip. Adjustment of the brakes themselves can be done with a screwdriver or star wheel tool.

Thanks. Sorry I didn't make myself clearer. I use the screwdriver rather than the adjustment wrench to adjust the brakes. It's been a while since I adjust the Pbrake, so it's good to know a wrench of proper size, or wun of dem ad-justable wuns, will get the job done on the Pbrake adjustment. My Pbrake won't hold the car while in drive, and that's a requirement for safety inspection due next month.

Thank you all for the help. That's why I contribute to the site. Lotz of fine folks!!
